This means that they vent the compressed air out after closing which relieves the system of the built-up pressure. The two-directional valves do not have the relief function, which is useful in applications with for example tanks which need to keep the residual pressure.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo operate the valve, use a quarter-turn handle. Turning the handle 90 degrees opens or closes the valve by moving a spool, which has lands and valleys, upward or downward.
